Suggested Reading: June 3, 2012

A few months ago I decided to start posting a list of awesome blog posts from the week as suggestions for your weekend reading.  With the absence of The Daily Quest from WoW Insider, and the emergence of a ton of amazing new blogs thanks to the New Blogger Initiative, it seemed like a great time to get back into the habit!

  • Over at Bio Break, there is a full list of all the new bloggers who participated in the NBI as well as a list of all the veteran bloggers who wrote advice posts for them.  The list is long and daunting, but it is so rewarding if you take the time to go through each of links to the new blogs on there.  I found a ton of great new reads to add to my RSS feed thanks to this post.
  • At Bubbles of Mischief, Cymre has some fascinating tips about how to take better screenshots.  Until reading this post, I had absolutely no idea that I could change the image type (and therefore quality) that WoW uses to save my screenshots.  Thanks so much for the information Cymre – maybe one day I’ll be able to take screenshots as impressive as yours.
  • Speaking of great screenshots, one of my favorite finds from the NBI is Image Heavy, which has two great screenshot posts this week.  The first is a compilation of creepy places in the Eastern Kingdoms, and the second is a study of the Stormgarde ruins.  Enjoy!
  • Finally, Heals n Heels explains why she is “Going Gnome” on her priest (always a fantastic choice, if you ask me).  Melyanna outlines 5 important reasons for gnomish supremacy, not the least of which is their awesome hairstyles.

Thanks for all the great reading this week, and congratulations to everyone who participated in the NBI.  Have a great weekend!
