There were an incredible number of excellent posts around the blogosphere this week, which made choosing 3 to link really difficult. In the end, I decided to show off two excellent posts that I haven’t seen linked to elsewhere yet, and one post from the WoW official forums that proves Blizzard CAN get it – even if it takes them a week longer than the rest of us.
- Melyanna at The Dreamy Druid shares her insight on Mists of Pandaria, and explains why it’s time for Blizzard to take a break from the “doom and gloom.”
- Over at Disciplinary Action, Liala gives us an incredible thesis on How Baby Boomers Built Warcraft, and why Generation Y finds itself so at home in WoW.
- After the Warcraft community at large spoke out against the Corpsegringer video featured at Blizzcon, which included homophobic and other inflammatory language, Blizzard President Mike Morhaime finally posted an apology on the official forums. This apology, unlike the original one issued by the Level 90 Tauren Chieftans, shows that Blizzard finally understands why the community was so upset. (Hint: It had nothing to do with Alliance vs. Horde.)
Have a wonderful weekend, and stay warm (if you’re like me and living somewhere that actually experienced snow flurries this morning).
